About Michael
The work started when the systems broke.
Automatonic grew out of operating a real small business, building the wrong things, learning what actually moved the work, and turning that lesson into a disciplined way to help other owners.
I learned this work inside a business that had no room for theory.
Ældern Tomes is a real bookselling operation. Every slow handoff, repetitive task, weak signal, and scattered decision showed up in the workday. There was nowhere for “strategy” to hide.
At first, every recurring problem looked like a tool problem.
Building individual systems helped. It also exposed the larger truth: automation cannot rescue a confused customer journey, an unclear offer, or a decision no one has made. Technology matters after the diagnosis is right.
Automatonic became the discipline of choosing what deserves to be built.
Today I work directly with owner-led businesses to trace the real journey, find the leverage, and carry the right intervention through delivery. Sometimes that is a website. Sometimes it is a funnel, an operating system, or a simpler process.
No account layer. No handoff to someone you have never met.
You work with the person doing the diagnosis and the build. That keeps context intact, decisions visible, and the work accountable from the first conversation to the final handoff.

You do not need to diagnose the problem before reaching out. A few honest lines about the business and the friction are enough to start.
